Fareham North-West Community Association is a small but very friendly team of local people and representatives that are passionate about ensuring the community has the facilities that are needed to access services and hire spaces for social events.
The Association is run by volunteers alone, whether this is maintaining the property, organising events, making sure policies and finances are up-to-date or supporting the great groups that operate from the Community Centre.
There are regular opportunities to help this Team out, be it joining in with a work party for one day, attending a regular meeting or overseeing a specific function.
Currently, there are the following opportunities to become involved:
The Association is holding a weekend work party to freshen up the paintwork inside the Community Centre. No specific skills are needed, just an ability to hold a brush and enjoy working as part of a happy team.
The date will be confirmed in due course.
To take part, call Tim Vincent on 07774 249702.
The Advisory Committee meets every 2 months to receive updates from the Council and other relevant professionals on the plans for the new Fareham Park Community Centre. The group acts as a sounding board for the proposals and keeps the local community informed of the progress that is being made.
If you would like to join this group, please contact Councillor Fred Birkett [email protected].
The Association has recently had new webpages developed and would also like to make itself more accessible to the local community by launching an account on other social media platforms. We’re looking for someone who can use their passion for all forms of social media to keep the community informed of what the Community Centre has to offer.
If you are interested, please phone Tim Vincent on 07774 249702.
